It digitizes infrared signals/commands from remote controls. OFFERS EASY SIGNAL CODING - The included IR Learner Utility CD learns IR commands and converts them into GC 100 or Hex CCF format. It auto copies the codes to a clipboard for quick database creation. CONTROL IR DEVICES FROM A PC - The stored IR codes from GC-IRL can be used to manage infrared units over a network. It recreates infrared signals for playback by providing the necessary information. PROVIDES EASY CONNECTIVITY - Simply plug the IR Learner into the standard RS232 serial port of any computer. DOES NOT REQUIRE AN EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLY - The IR Learner's power is supplied by RTS line of the RS232 serial port.
