MU-STIX-G
The MU-STIX-G is a thumb drive-sized HDMI pattern generator designed for Murideos STIX large-deployment evaluation platform. It may also be used for light-duty in-field pass/fail signal transmission verification.
Initially developed as a resource for AVPro Edge internal quality control, STIX was conceived as an asymmetric testing methodology for dynamically transmitting, receiving, and logging test sources through 1,152 MXnet endpoint transmitters and receivers. Imagine pursuing this process with hundreds of Blu-ray machines or streaming devices, or the number of video displays it is simply impossible.
Video test patterns at resolutions from 720p/ 60 Hz through 8K/ 60 Hz, including 4K/120 Hz High Frame Rate, may be generated by the
MU-STIX-G. When used in stand-alone applications, a mini OLED screen displays the pattern selected, resolution, bit rate, color space, and HDCP version.
STIX enables rapid yet thorough in-house signal throughput confirmation before site deployment to verify that endpoint devices are correctly functioning, appropriately responding to programming, and aligned with system performance parameters.
For stand-alone use, the MU-STIX-G is a convenient, cost-effective multi-resolution format generator for commercial or residential integrators when simple pass-fail transmission path and display capability verification are required.
