The Global Caché GC-SC1 is a contact closure sensor. Its circuit provides a fast response to contact closure (4mS typ) with a slow response to contact open (75mS typ). This eliminates false triggers due to contact bounce created by mechanical contacts coming together, such as pushbuttons or relays. SC1 Additionally, the GC-SC1 will work with other controllers that provide 5V power and accept digital logic (TTL) input. The GC-SC1 connector is a standard 3.5mm stereo connector. This sensor can be used with the iTach IR connectors in "Sensor" mode, but due to a design modification, it must be connected to the unit with a crossover audio cable. The wires that need to be exchanged are the tip and the ring.
